A minigame for GameBoy created with GB Studio.

Story

There's a foreign country that earns a lot of money by producing fireballs. Let's get an insight into the production process – it is not as easy as it sounds first!

Collect stars, jump from gear to gear, bounce on walls and slide through pipes. Once you collect all the stars, you finish the game. So, it is not a big deal, isn't it? Well, you only have a limited number of jumps, so it might be tricky!

Tell me in the comments if you managed to complete the game.

Controls

A – jump, select menu items (Z or Y on desktop)
Select – show stats, select menu items (C on desktop)
Start – show in-game menu with option to restart ('reset') level (V on desktop)
LEFT or RIGHT – turn gear (A or LEFT / D or RIGHT on desktop)

Do you want more of this?

This game is a presentation of the great possibilities that can be achieved by using the amazing free game creation tool called GB Studio – even if it is not a top-view/RPG game!

This is a preview of a game that is WIP. Please consider donating a few bucks if you want to see more levels and features.

This is very unique

Thank you! :)

Very creative! It’s a great idea to see what’s happening in the tube. :)

Thank you! 🙂 (Köszönöm! 😁 )

Really unique GB Studio puzzle, great work! It's a shame it's so slow, when you fail it's really tedious to do it all again. Other than that, I loved it, really good artwork too!

wonder if this can be ported to the c64?

That is a good idea – however, I would have to rewrite it from scratch in Basic. Maybe one day... :)

honestly basic is kinda neat. and simple. maybe that's why they call it "basic".

This was really fun! I'd love to see more levels.

Thank you very much! I hope I will be able to add more levels soon. :)

Finally figured out how to get that last star!  This is a great demo, and a good example of how GB Studio can be used to create something other than an RPG or adventure game.  Also, really nice of the custom palette feature in GB Studio.

Thank you for your kind comment! :)
